Intentional design honors the way a building holds space for a life well-lived.
Elsa believes a home should do more than impress. It should create ease. Encourage connection. Hold memory. Invite people in. Give everyone within it room to exhale, gather, celebrate, retreat, and become more fully themselves.
A unique and versatile collection of spaces, knowledge, and Montana legacies.
The magic happens because space was made for it.
Her approach begins by listening — to the architecture, to the landscape, and most importantly, to the people who will inhabit the space. Rather than imposing a style, Elsa looks for the beautiful bones already there, revealing what is worth preserving, reimagining what no longer serves, and layering light, texture, nuance, history, and function with thoughtful restraint.

With decades of learned experience planning, facilitating, and managing events, Elsa’s capabilities and resourcefulness are endless and one of a kind.

Sourdough Sanctuary
Good renovation doesn’t overwrite a home’s history. It reveals how beautifully that history can evolve.
Sourdough was recognized in the 2025 Parade of Homes with Best Home Overall, Best Remodel, and Best Interior Design—an affirmation of the careful balance between preservation, transformation, and intentional living.
The Woodlands Venue
With a wide variety of uses and spaces, The Woodlands venue has been a Bozeman cornerstone business for over twenty years, and available year-round for special uses.
Meet Elsa Campbell
Elsa Campbell has spent more than 25 years shaping spaces that feel as good as they look — spaces with soul, history, intention, and a deep sense of belonging.
A lifelong Bozeman resident, Elsa is profoundly influenced by her surroundings: the rhythm of the seasons, the quality of natural light, the texture of old materials, the quiet beauty of a well-worn surface, and the way a room can either support or interrupt the life unfolding within it. That sensitivity to place is at the heart of Holding Space.
Her philosophy has guided Elsa across a remarkably varied body of residential and commercial work — from The Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon and The Longhorn Restaurant & Bar to retail environments, meaningful family homes, treasured vacation properties, thoughtful remodels, and modern luxury residences in Big Sky.
Her work has been recognized throughout the years, including 2016 Best Business of the Year, Best Wedding Venue in 2021 and 2022, and, most recently, top honors in the 2025 Parade of Homes for 3567 Sourdough Road, which received Best Home Overall, Best Remodel, and Best Interior Design for its careful marriage of original mid-century architecture and modern living.
And soon, Elsa and her work will reach an even wider audience with a feature on American Dream Homes TV.
But accolades have never been the point.
For Elsa, the real measure of a space is how it changes the experience of living within it — how morning light moves across a room, how naturally people gather, how a home welcomes you back at the end of the day, and how the spaces around us can quietly support the life we are meant to live.
